Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha was a Thai billionaire businessman, founder, owner and chairman of King Power Duty Free.
In 2011, he was named chairman of Leicester City while continuing as owner. He died on Saturday 27 October 2018 when his helicopter crashed shortly after taking off from the King Power Stadium.
Monumental Icons have been congratulated by club representatives for creating such a striking resemblance of the late chairman in a bronze resin bust acquired by the family. In fact, it was so lifelike that when Leicester City Chief executive Susan Whelan first saw the completed sculpture she was heard to remark “It’s as if he is here in the room with us”.
